All-women field of candidates vie for four seats on Santa Cruz City Council

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) A field of nine candidates are running for four seats on the Santa Cruz City Council.

The all-women group of candidates include two incumbents; Martine Watkins and Sandy Brown. Kelsey Hill, Kayla Kumar, Sonja Brunner, Elizabeth Conlan, Alicia Kuhl, Maria Cadenas and Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson make up the field.

Tonight at 5 p.m. on KION, Drew Andre speaks with Watkins, Brown, Hill and Kumar about their main objectives in office. Then at 11 p.m. on KION, Conlan, Cadenas, Kuhl, Brunner and Kalantari-Johnson will be featured.
