King City evacuation center closes following lifted evacuation orders
KING CITY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Evacuation Center in King City has closed, according to county officials.
Both the River and Carmel fires have been 100% contained with no evacuation orders for several weeks, and the Dolan Fire recently downgraded its last evacuation order and lifted nearly all warnings.
The center was located at the King City High School gym on Broadway Street.
