Vandals fill fountain outside Salinas dental office with bubbles

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A Salinas dental office found an unusual piece of vandalism at their water fountain Wednesday morning.

When staff arrived, they found that the fountain had been filled with bubbles.

They say this is part of a bigger problem and that this happens multiple times a month. Staff say they also see other types of vandalism, such as graffiti, and cars have been stolen from the lot.

"We hired our own security, but they can't be here 24 hours a day, so it's getting ridiculous," said dentist Robert Zernicke.

Staff say even the security cameras they set up have been stolen occasionally. They are asking police to give the area more attention and residents to watch their surroundings.
