Fire agency lending sifter boxes to those who lost homes in Carmel Fire

CARMEL VALLEY, Calif. (KION) Cachagua Fire said it is lending sifter boxes to help community members who lost homes in the Carmel Fire look for valuables and other items.

The boxes can be used to filter out dirt and ash from what is placed inside them.

To borrow a sifter box, email feedback@cachaguafire.com or message the agency on Facebook. A limited number are available.

The Mid Coast Fire Brigade provided the boxes to Cachagua Fire for resident use.
