Watsonville police search for driver involved in Lake Ave. hit and run

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION) Watsonville police are asking for help as they try to find the driver involved in a hit and run Saturday night.

Police said a 59-year-old victim was hit by a vehicle at around 9:15 p.m. around East Lake Avenue between Lincoln and Jefferson Streets. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but he is now in stable condition.

Witnesses describe the vehicle involved as a brown or tan 4-door sedan that may be a Honda.

Police said that bases on what they have learned, the car would have damage to the driver's side, bumper, hood and windshield.
