Four minors detained following reports of shots fired on Freedom Blvd

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Four minors have been detained after the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of shots fired.

Deputies responded to the 2700 block of Freedom Boulevard and tried to pull a vehicle over when they said one person inside ran away.

The Sheriff's Office said the person who ran away was detained a short time later.

There are no reports of injuries, but the Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.

Law enforcement issued a shelter in place during the incident, but that has been lifted.
