Carmel wine tasting rooms opening outdoors for business

CARMEL, Calif. (KION) Wine tasting rooms in Carmel are opening up for business this week after they got the go-ahead by the city to go outdoors.

Since the state public health department put Monterey County back on a reduced re-opening phase -- closing bars and brewpubs -- wine tasting room were also impacted.

Now the cities of Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey along with Monterey County have allowed for a quick permitting process so that businesses can get back earning revenue.

While some tasting rooms were open on Sunday, others were still closed.
