Vegetation fire near Gilroy grows to 2,000 acres
SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (KION) UPDATE: Cal Fire officials say the Crews Fire has spread to 2,000 acres and is 20% contained.
Many have been evacuated and there is an evacuation area set up at the Gilroy Senior Center.
Two structures have been destroyed so far.

A vegetation fire burning north of Gilroy has grown to 1,000 acres, according to Cal Fire.
They said two structures are involved and multiple structures are threatened off Crews Road as the fire continues to burn toward Highway 152. They're calling this the Crews Fire.
Evacuations of Canada Road are underway.
Cal Fire said additional resources are on the way to the scene.
