Current fires on the Central Coast

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Recent fires on the Central Coast include the Rico Fire, Hunter Fire and the Stage fire all burning in Monterey County.

Still active now are the Rico and Hunter fires.

Hunter Fire

According to Cal Fire reports, the Hunter fire stands at 40% and has burned through 140 acres.

The Hunter Fire began Sunday at River and Interlake Road, South of Lockwood.

Rico Fire

The Rico fire began yesterday, South of San Ardo and stands at 70% containment.

It has burned through 326 acres so far.

Stage Fire

The Stage fire in Salinas is now fully contained.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fires.
