Pacific Grove businesses conflicted on Lighthouse Avenue closure
KION

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION) Road closures on Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove to allow for an outdoor dining trial have come to an end.

Mayor Bill Peake said the city received objections from retailers and some restaurants. He said the closures helped some restaurants, but it came at the expense of others, so the City Council vetoed them.

The closures for outdoor dining started on June 12, and the plan was for a 30-day trial.
