Movie theaters begin reopening for the first time since Shelter in Place began

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION)

Premiere Cinemas in Hollister is one of the first movie theaters to reopen on the Central Coast since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Inside, all employees wear masks and new health and safety guidelines are posted throughout the building.

Older films are currently being shown to the public.

  1. So we risk death for a re-runs? If I am going to go to a theater, it’s going to be for a new movie. I suppose I might consider it if it just happens to be a good film I missed. But how do you take what is essentially an incubator with big speakers and make it safe?
