Watch: Bear gets locked in vehicle and rescued in Placer County

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Placer County Sheriff's Office shared a video of a bear locked in a vehicle and the aftermath.

The incident happened earlier this week in Colfax.

The bear was able to get out safely when deputies broke the vehicle's window.

The Sheriff's Office reminds everyone not to leave food or wrappers in vehicles and lock doors to cars and homes.
