Salinas Target closing all day Tuesday

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) The store manager at the Target store in Salinas confirmed with KION that it will be closed all day Tuesday.

The store is also closing at 6 p.m. Monday.

The manager said the closure is a precaution because of protests.

It is one of many Target stores around the country that are closed because of protests related to the death of George Floyd. In other locations, protests have turned violent and some Targets have been looted.

So far, protests on the Central Coast have remained peaceful.
