GILROY, Calif. (KION) The City of Gilroy said Garlic Festival memorial items will be removed from the corner of Miller Avenue and Uvas Park Drive.

There is a temporary memorial set up on the ranch side of Christmas Hill Park where they can be moved by May 22.

Starting on that date, items at the intersection will be removed and kept in a secure location until June 1. To get an item after that date, residents can call the Public Works Department at 408-846-0275.

After June 1, any items left will be discarded.

The items were placed at the intersection in memory of last year's shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Three people were killed and several more were injured.
