Air National Guard fighter jets fly over Central Coast Wednesday

CENTRAL COAST, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 5/13/2020 11 a.m. Fighter jets with the California Air National Guard's 144th Fighter Wing flew over several health care sites around the state today.

The flyover was a salute to health care workers, first responders and other essential workers.

The jets flew over Dominican Hospital, Watsonville Community Hospital and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.

PREVIOUS STORY: As a salute to health care workers, first responders and other essential workers, the California Air National Guard's 144th Fighter Wing will be doing a flyover across the state.

The four F-15C Eagle fighter jets will be going over several locations in California, and several of them are on the Central Coast. They include:

  • Dominican Hospital
  • Watsonville Community Hospital
  • Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula

The flyover will begin in Fresno at 10 a.m. Wednesday, but the jets are expected to fly over the Central Coast at around 11 a.m.
