Missing Seaside 10-year-old found safe

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 5/1/2020 12 p.m. Seaside police said a missing boy has been found safe.

Police said 10-year-old Jason Young was found in a transient camp in a wooded area east of General Jim Moore Boulevard.

Police said the circumstances of how he went missing are under investigation, and he was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Seaside Police Department is asking the public to help find Jason Young - a missing 10-year-old boy.

Police say that Young was last seen leaving the area of the 1100 block of La Salle Avenue at 12:43 a.m., wearing a camouflage or white shirt, gray pants, a black beanie, and wearing Under Armour branded Aqua sneakers.

According to Seaside PD, Young suffers from unknown medical conditions.

Description from PD:

  • Light-skinned black male
  • 4’9” tall
  • Roughly 75 pounds
  • Brown hair and eyes.
  • He has distinct freckles on his face
