Tulare County Sheriff's Office

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Tulare County Sheriff's Office is looking for two people of interest in a murder there, and one of them may have a connection to Salinas.

The Sheriff's Office said the murder happened two years ago today in New London. Paul Abraca was found dead in his home with blunt force trauma to the upper body. Investigators said the suspects tried to set Abraca's house on fire after running from the scene.

Early on in the investigation, the Sheriff's Office said it identified Arturo Mascareno as a person of interest, but investigators believe he is in Mexico.

Since then, the Sheriff's Office has identified a second person of interest. The other person's name is not known, but the Sheriff's Office said it believes he has ties to Salinas.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said both men are considered armed and dangerous. Detectives are working with authorities here and in Mexico to find them.
