Man shot in Watsonville, while a toddler sat in his car

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION)

In Watsonville, a man sitting in his car with a four-year-old child was struck by a bullet in the arm. The child was unharmed.

Watsonville Police officers and detectives are investigating the shooting that occurred shortly before 6 p.m. today on the 200 block of Sudden Street.

The 29-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

As for the gunman, Watsonville police believe they were wearing a mask at the time of the shooting. He was last seen running east on California Street. Police believe the shooting could possibly be gang-related.
