Body pulled from Elkhorn Slough
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Deputies with the Monterey County Sheriff's Office pulled a dead body from the waters at Elkhorn Slough Saturday.
The department received a call about a possible dead body sometime around 11:30 a.m. The tip came from a group of kayakers who saw the body near the shoreline.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies were able to confirm that the individual was in fact a deceased adult male.
The coroner's division of the Monterey County Sheriff's Office is investigating this incident. The cause of death is currently unknown.
