MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) "Everybody loves flowers and everyone loves everybody, so they give them flowers," Fely Caoili, the owner of the Flower Market told KION.

Caoili's business started more than 50 years ago and has survived despite booming online flower sales.

Caoili said flowers are the love of her life and that she could not imagine doing anything else. She also said that is likely why her shop has stuck around for so long.

"I grew up with flowers, so I think with my mom's love of flowers too, it transcended to the children," said Marilyn, Caoili's daughter.

It is on holidays like Valentine's Day where Fely Caoili needs the most help, and because of that, her daughter Marilyn will step in alongside several other family members-- all to make sure everyone gets their flowers in time for the holiday.
