Residents lose home to structure fire on Sylvan Way

BOULDER CREEK, Calif. (KION) A 2nd alarm fire destroyed a Boulder Creek structure overnight, leaving the residents without a home.

The Boulder Creek Volunteer Fire department said that when crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed.

Several agencies responded to help, including crews from Ben Lomond, Felton, Cal Fire and Scotts Valley. Zayante Fire also covered the valley.

The home was lost, according to Boulder Creek Fire, but the residents were able to get out safely. The fire department said home fires in the middle of the night can turn deadly very quickly.
