On Tuesday, officers responded to reports of someone harassing girls on their way to school. They canvased the area, but said they were not able to find the suspect.

The next morning, officers went to the same area to try to find the suspect. Police said 26-year-old Kenneth Wilder, a transient, was found across the street from school, identified as the suspect and arrested.

No children were hurt, according to police, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Police said Wilder is a sex offender who was on parole.
