Monterey police receive grant for enforcing alcohol-related violations

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey Police Department has a new grant for a year-long program focused on reducing alcohol-related violations.

The grant comes from the Office of Traffic Safety, and it will go toward special enforcement and public awareness.

Police will partner with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to conduct inspections, minor decoy operations and minor shoulder tap operations.
