Quake jolts Morgan Hill area

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A 3.9 magnitude earthquake jolted the Morgan Hill area, but it was also felt here on the Central Coast.

The USGS initially gave the quake a 4.1 magnitude rating at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, but scaled it down after some time.

The depth for the quake was about 4 miles. So far no damage has been reported.

The quake officially hit about 6 miles northeast of Morgan Hill and 35 miles north of Salinas.
