Pacific Grove High School student hit by car on Sunset Avenue

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION) A Pacific Grove High School student was hit by a car Friday morning on Sunset Drive near 19th Street, according to police.

The crash happened at about 7:55. Police said the student was taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene of the crash. Sunset Drive between Congress Avenue and Forest was temporarily closed, but it has reopened.

  1. Did anyone ever learn in English class that ‘THEIR’ is plural? So, “….the extent of their injuries is unknown” is just not good English. HIS injuries. HER injuries. And if no gender is known, ‘the victim’s injuries’.
    Or, is this ‘their’ thing part of the new gender nomenclature, where individuals are called ‘they’?
    How can we expect our leaders to act sanely, when the media and populace has gone over the edge?
