Salinas Police to offer community active shooter training

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A free community active shooter training is set to be hosted by the Salinas Police Department and the city.

It's going to focus on how to prepare, prevent and react in different active shooter environments. Officers will answer questions afterwards.

The event is Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sherwood Hall at 940 North Main Street in Salinas.
