California Rodeo Salinas donates thousands to non-profits

The California Rodeo Salinas donated more than half a million dollars to non-profits after the 2019 rodeo.

According to the rodeo, non-profit groups work at various events at the Salinas Sports Complex throughout the year. The donations earned on top of discounted facility rentals, ticket donations and tips all added up to $534,919.38 given back to the non-profits for 2019.

That is up 8% from donations in 2018.

The non-profits include groups such as Hope Horses&Kids, Monterey Bay Veterans Inc., various high school athletic departments, clubs, the Ernie Camacho Foundation, Sun Street Centers, Toro Bulls and several others.
