Man arrested on suspicion of using a crowbar to burglarize home in Marina

A Salinas man is behind bars after Marina police said he used a crowbar to get into a house and burglarize it.

Police responded to a report of a burglary Sunday in the 400 block of Forest Circle after a witness said they saw a man coming out the back of an unoccupied house.

Officers checked the area and found a man matching the description the witness had given. Police said he was carrying property and had a large crowbar. Police identified him as the person seen at the house and said they found that the property had been stolen from the house. They believe he used the crowbar to get in.

36-year-old Jose Manuel Moncada was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of a burglary tool and probation violation.
