Greenfield school placed on lockdown during police response to nearby burglary

A Greenfield school was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning while police responded to a burglary nearby.

It happened at around 10:26 a.m. Police said officers responded to a burglary in progress on the 500 block of El Camino Real, and to keep students and staff safe, Mary Chapa Academy was placed on lockdown.

After about 10 minutes, the incident was finished and the lockdown was lifted.

Four juveniles were detained in connection to the burglary.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and they will not release any more details at this time.
