Soledad Police Chief Sills receives last radio call before retirement

Soledad Police Chief Eric Sills retired from his post on Tuesday, but before that, he received an emotional last radio call.

The department said Sills leaves behind a legacy of community partnerships, professionalism and a sense of pride for officers who have worked for him.

Sills has worked in law enforcement for more than 37 years. He started at the San Jose Police Department in 1982 and worked his way up through the ranks. After more than 27 years there, he came to Soledad as the Chief of Police.
