Five young juveniles treated for major injuries after head-on crash in Watsonville

Five young juveniles are recovering from major injuries after their car was hit head-on.

On Friday, a 19-year-old woman from Watsonville was driving near Freedom Boulevard and Appletree Lane when the CHP said she veered into oncoming traffic.

The woman’s vehicle hit a Honda Odyssey head-on. There were five juveniles from Watsonville in the Honda who had major injures as a result of the crash.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing great bodily harm.

To report a drunk driver, the CHP asks community members to call 911.
