Car fire spreads to quarter acre in Santa Cruz Mountains

A car fire spread to the surrounding area off Bear Creek Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Cal Fire tells KION that the fire as been contained at just a quarter of an acre.

Crews received the call just after 7:15 p.m. Monday and responded to the area of Bear Creek Road and Bear Creek Canyon Road. Initial reports show that the car was likely abandoned, according to Cal Fire.

There are no evacuations.
