Watonville “Green Bike Lane” installation to begin

Installation for “green bike lanes” in Watsonville will begin Monday October 14th, according to the city. The installation work is expected to last from the 14th to Friday, October 18th.

The City says to expect delays on some streets. They are:

Bridge Street from Hushbeck Avenue to E. Lake Avenue
Beach Street from Walker Street to Rodriguez Street
Green Valley Road from Harkins Slough Road to Home Depot driveway
Rodriguez Street from Riverside Drive to Main Street
Walker Street-Harkins Slough Road from Riverside Drive to Green Valley Road

They ask that you call the Traffic Operations Manager at 831-768-3140 if you have any questions.

Watsonville Police also announced last week that they received two grants, totaling more than $100,000, for road, bicycle and pedestrian safety.
