Santa Cruz police looking for man suspected of spraying people with liquid, possibly urine

Santa Cruz police are asking for help finding a man suspected of spraying people with an unknown liquid that may be urine.

Police said two incidents have been reported and another was mentioned in a social media post. In one report, it happened while the victim was jogging on Water Street near Reed way on Sept. 14 and 24. The other reported incident happened in the 500 block of Ocean View Avenue. In the incident posted on social media, the person said it happened on the bridge from San Lorenzo Park to the downtown area and near New Leaf Market on Pacific Avenue.

The victim police interviewed was able to describe the suspect to a sketch artist. He is described as a Hispanic man who is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and overweight with black hair and brown eyes. Police said in one incident, he wore a gray pullover sweater with a Santa Cruz skateboard logo on the back.
