Police: Men found with metal knuckles, unregistered gun in Sand City

Sand City police said they arrested two men who were found with metal knuckles and a gun that was loaded and unregistered.

Officers said they saw a vehicle with tinted windows that looked suspicious near the McDonald’s on Playa Avenue. In the vehicle, they found Adrian Castro and Michael Davis III.

The inside of the vehicle reeked of burnt marijuana, according to police, and during a search officers said they found a loaded and unregistered Glock 23 handgun inside the glove compartment. Officers said the gun had a 13 round magazine with twelve .40 caliber rounds.

They also said they found metal knuckles in the driver-side door pocket.

Castro and Davis were arrested on suspicion of possession of a loaded/unregistered gun. Castro was also charged with possession of metal knuckles.
