Two stabbed in Santa Cruz, suspect on the run

A stabbing suspect on the run after attacking two people in Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz Police say that suspect is 26-year old Dennis Wells.

They say the stabbings happened Friday night at 11:21 on Pacific Avenue near the intersection of Maple Street.

Police say the two victims have life threatening injuries, one victim with an injury to the head, the other to the neck. Both were taken to the San Jose area to be treated. Their conditions are not known at this time.

Santa Cruz Police investigators worked with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office to review security footage and interview witnesses, determining Wells was the suspect.

He is described as a white male adult, 5’11”, 190 pounds, hazel eyes and blond hair.

Police say he is armed and dangerous, if you see him do not contact him, call 911.
