Morgan Hill soccer coach arrested for sexually assaulting minor

A Morgan Hill soccer coach has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.

Investigators said that 27-year-old Marcial Gonzalez Jr. sexually assaulted the minor he had met through coaching at a private residence in Morgan Hill.

Gonzalez was currently working as a youth soccer coach at Oak Grove High School in San Jose. He was also employed as a soccer coach at South Valley Junior High in Gilroy. He previously worked as a coach for Sentinal Soccer Club, as a Junior Varsity Boys soccer coach at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill between October 2015- February of 2016.

Police said Gonzalez was also a Lyft driver.

“With Gonzalez association to youth, through coaching, MHPD is seeking information to determine if there are other victims or witnesses,” said Morgan Hill Police.
