Man and woman shot in broad daylight on Sunday morning in Salinas
Salinas Police are investigating an attempted murder that took place just before 10 a.m. Sunday.
Officers said they responded to the 1100 block of Pacific Avenue after getting a shot spotter notification of a shooting in that area.
A 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were found with several gunshot wounds, police said.
Both victims were seated in a parked car in the area when they were confronted by a man who shot both of them.
The man and woman were taken to a local hospital and are expected to survive.
The suspect was reported to have driven from the area in a dark-colored SUV.
