UPDATE: 2 sought in Greenfield armed robbery, third suspect arrested

UPDATE 3/2/2016 6:15 PM: The Greenfield Police Department is searching for two suspects wanted in connection to at least one of the city’s armed robberies.

Police said Geovanni Gonzalez and Leonardo Herrera were previously arrested for a Salinas armed robbery.

They are currently wanted and have outstanding “felony no bail bench warrants” for $150,000.

On Tuesday, Greenfield police, with the help of multiple agencies, served search warrants at two locations, as well as a probation search at a third location. Police said they arrested Uriel Medina, who was charged for an armed robbery at a Greenfield business.

The announcement was made Wednesday during a second “Partners In Crime” Prevention meeting at the Greenfield Civic Center.

UPDATE 3/1/2016 4:28PM: Three people wanted for recent armed robberies in Greenfield and Salinas were arrested during three raids Tuesday morning, according to police.

Officers said all three suspects were arrested during a multi-agency effort by Greenfield Police, the U.S. Marshal’s Office, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Probation, the FBI, King City Police and Del Rey Oaks Police.

The city said business owners who were affected by these recent armed robberies are encouraged to attend a second “Partners In Crime” Prevention meeting at the Greenfield Civic Center at 6PM on Wednesday.

PREVIOUS STORY: Police in Greenfield are searching for suspects tied to several recent armed robberies, according to Chief Adele Frese.

Officers and other local agencies are involved in raids at several locations Tuesday morning.

This comes about a month after the police department met with residents and business owners to discuss ways to prevent crime in the city.

In February, Frese said surveillance cameras are crucial to make arrests and it’s important the department has quick access to the video. She said the best way to prevent crime is to work together.
