Morning Anchor
KION Newschannel 5 in Monterey/Salinas, California is looking for an experienced Morning Anchor to join our team, covering California’s beautiful Central Coast.
The successful candidate will bring personality, positive energy and a strong on-air presence to our 2 hour morning newscast. We are looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for breaking news, someone with strong writing skills who will bring solid editorial judgment to our newsroom, assisting with scripts, producing, and overall content, on air, and on our digital and social media platforms.
This candidate will also enterprise, shoot and edit their own stories as a general assignment MMJ, and contribute to our live coverage as needed.
Producing experience, Spanish language skills and experience with ENPS and Edius are a plus.
Please note: a minimum of two years of Anchoring experience in a television newsroom (post-graduation) is required for this position .
