King City towing company owner admits guilt
Tuesday, the former owner of Miller’s Towing in King City pleaded guilty to bribery and grand theft charges.
50-year-old Brian Miller owned Miller’s Towing and was accused of running a towing scheme with members of the King City Police Department.
He along with his brother, former acting police Chief Bruce Miller and police Sergeant Bobby Carillo were accused of being a part of an alleged conspiracy where officers to funnel towing jobs to Miller’s Towing in exchange for free cars.
Miller pleaded guilty to two felony counts of bribing an executive officer and grand theft, he faces a maximum of 4 years and 8 months in prison.
Miller has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors on the other officers still going through the court process, and the District Attorney’s Office says that cooperation could reduce his sentence.
Brian Miller has cooperated with the District Attorney’s Office from the beginning of the investigation.
