Fire at Castroville Tire Shop

CHP and North Monterey County Fire crews are on scene of a car fire at a tire shop in Castroville.

The fire started just after 11:00a.m. when a small pick up truck caught fire in the parking lot of Castroville Tire. A large black plume of smoke could be seen for miles around the area.

Crews were able to put out the fire around 11:30a.m. Firefighters were able to contain flames to the pick truck, and no damage was reported to the tire shop itself.
