News Producer

Live and work in one of the most beautiful television markets in California. KION News Channel 5 in Monterey/Salinas, California is accepting applications for a News Producer. Candidate will be responsible for writing and producing our daily newscasts and web and social media content. We are looking for a journalist with strong writing, producing and social media skills, a team player who thrives on deadlines and breaking news, with experience creating compelling content on all platforms. This is not an on-air reporting position, but MMJ/Reporting skills are a plus and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Candidates should be highly skilled at time management and problem solving, also organized and creative. Prior news writing and producing experience, familiarity with non-linear editing (especially edius), ENPS, social media and enterprise story telling are a huge plus.
