UPDATE: Fourth suspect named in Gilroy murder case
UPDATE: 3/10/15: On Tuesday, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office said a fourth suspect is facing charges in the murder of Gilroy residents Robert Heiser, 56.
The DA’s office said GerardoCisnerosappeared in court Tuesday and did not enter a plea.
Suspect Rodrigo Bejarano was also in court Tuesday anddid not enter a plea either. He waived his 60 day right to enter a plea and will be in court again in April
Police are still looking for Isabella Chaidez, 17, wanted as the third suspect in this case.
UPDATE 6:01 p.m.: Gilroy police detective said they’ve identified an third suspect in the murder investigation of Robert Joseph Heiser, 56, killed last month at his home on Bay Tree Drive.
They said Isabella Chaidez, 17, is wanted as the third suspect in this case.
Officers also said a warrant was served on Rodrigo Bejarano, 22, who was already in the Santa Clara County Jail on other unrelated charges.
Gilroy police said Chaidez was seen with Gabriela Ortiz, the first arrest made in the case, on surveillance footage at a convenience store in San Jose with property belonging to Heiser.
PREVIOUS STORY: A second arrest has been made in the murder of 56-year-old Robert Heiser in Gilroy last month.
The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Rodrigo Bejarano, 22, of San Jose was recently arrested and arraigned in court on Tuesday.
The DA’s office said Bejarano is charged with murder, gang enhancement and robbery. The office also said few details are available about the sealed case because it is an on-going investigation. Bejarano’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 10.
19-year-old Gabriela Bernice Ortiz of San Jose was arrested just over a week ago and faced a judge during her arraignment on Tuesday. Her next appearance in court is scheduled for March 17.
Gilroy Police said they are searching for more suspects in Heiser’s killing. Police released surveillance video of two women who they called persons of interest in the case.
Police said the women, were using Heiser’s credit card at an east San Jose convenience store after he died.
Several tips came in from people who recognized Ortiz.
