Great White Shark seen at Marina State Beach

California State Parks officers in Monterey say lifeguards are on alert after a Great White Shark was seen at Marina State Beach Monday.

Signs have been posted on the beach warning swimmers and will remain up for a few days.

Great white sightings are not uncommon at Marina State Beach.

State Parks officers says surfers reported the sighting to a lifeguard after the shark was seen breaching the water to attack a sea lion.
