CHP honors 100-year-old volunteer from Monterey County

The California Highway Patrol honored a Monterey County man at a ceremony in Sacramento Monday for his years of volunteer service.

Homer Bosserman is the state’s oldest CHP volunteer. The 100-year-old Bosserman still drives himself to the CHP Monterey office a few times a week from his home in the Carmel Valley. There, he helps with a variety of clerical tasks.

Bosserman is a World War II veteran who spent years working for Cadillac before retiring.
