Applications for California Rodeo Salinas scholarships now open

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Applications for California Rodeo Salinas scholarships are now open for 2020.

The rodeo offers five to ten scholarships to local students every year, and students who go to a Salinas Valley high school and are planning to attend Hartnell College or are transferring from Hartnell to a university are eligible. Applicants must also be 17 years of age or older.

The rodeo said special consideration is given to Rodeo Committee members as well as their children and grandchildren if they are in good standing.

The scholarship is available through the Hartnell College Foundation, and applications are due by March 2.
