Introducing the Messenger Experience
(KION) The KION news team is happy to announce a new feature to help you stay up-to-date with what is happening in the community.
Followers can now get their news sent directly to Facebook Messenger every morning, and you can customize the news you want to see.
To subscribe, find KION News Channel 5 46 in Facebook Messenger. Begin a message and you will see a "Get Started" button. Click on that to see an intro message and a question asking if you would like to see new articles. Users can choose yes or no.
When you choose yes, you can choose a topic you would like to see. The topics we currently have available are News, Weather, Monterey County News, Santa Cruz County News and San Benito County News. You can subscribe to one at a time, but after choosing one, you will be asked if you would like to subscribe to another.
When you are done choosing topics, the prompt will ask if you would like to see recent news now. If you say yes, you can choose one of the topics you have subscribed to. When that happens, recent articles will appear in your Messenger inbox.
A daily digest with recent articles will be sent out between 11 and 11:30 a.m. every day.
