Pets of the week for July 4, 2025
Our Neighborhood Pet Project and Animal Friends Rescue Project are sharing a couple of cats for this weeks Pets of the Week.
MEET: TOFRANIL
Tofranil is a part of Our Neighborhood Pet Project's "Cure-for-Depression" litter and looks identical to his brother Prozac.
Tofranil is described as outgoing, who dashes out to meet newcomers.
He loves attention and happily purrs when he gets pets and cuddles.
ONPP says "Tof" gets along well with small dogs in a household and children he's met at multiple adoption events, but would do best in a high energy home with a family who can spend hours each day playing with him.
ONPP is also looking for someone to adopt his brother, Lustral.

ONPP's next adoption event is July 5 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Salinas Farmer's Market.
MEET: SAKURA
Animal Friends Rescue introduces us this week to Sakura.
Sakura is descried as an adorable cross-eyed kitty with a sweet personality.
She came to AFRP with her four kittens and after being a wonderful mama is now ready for a forever home of her own.
AFRP says it's unknown how she does with other pets but with time and patience could do fine with a calm companion.
Sakura would do best in a home with adult adopters or cat-savvy kids over the age of six.
