Pet of the Week: Meet Denny!
Meet Denny! Denny came to Our Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP) animal rescue when Hitchcock Road Animal Services contacted ONPP about an extremely frightened dog who needed an emergency foster home. ONPP readily took him in but his troubles weren’t over. During Denny’s exam following emergency placement, it was quickly discovered that he was suffering from an injury that was causing nerve atrophy and was serious enough that his tail eventually had to be amputated. Fortunately, Denny hasn’t let this loss bother him one bit!
Denny is now just over a year old and weighs only 17 pounds. This creamy colored terrier boy is a bundle of energy. While he might take a minute to warm up to unfamiliar people, once he does, Denny will become a loyal lap dog! Denny has blossomed in foster care and is currently in a foster home
with other dogs, and he gets along with them. He has many toys he enjoys playing with and continues to gain confidence. This sweet boy just needs to find his furrever home to continue his journey!
ONPP’s next adoption event is this Saturday, December 14th, at the PetSmart in Salinas. This is a special
event day as Santa will be there for photos with your four-legged companions! Come join them from 1 pm to 5 pm and take a photo with your pet. Other kittens and puppies at the event, and we encourage you to stop by and say hello!
